About the Artist

My name is Cheryl Novak and I live in Maui, Hawaii. I have been doing art all my life in one medium or another. On my first day of retirement, I decided that I needed to find a creative way to keep my mind sharp, as creativity fills my mind, heart and soul. With my love of animals, I started learning to draw and paint animals. It started as a tiny seed, learning to draw a cat’s eye, that blossomed into a new path in my life! I even surprised myself!

I love bringing animals to life on paper! I am thrilled to get the opportunity to paint someone’s best friend and make a lasting keepsake for them to cherish forever. Let me do this for you! Making others happy, gives me such great joy!

These portraits are truly a labor of love!
